Israeli army bulldozes Gaza cemetery containing Allied soldiers' graves

The Israeli army has used bulldozers to demolish parts of a cemetery in Gaza City that contains the graves of Allied soldiers from World War I and World War II. Satellite imagery confirmed extensive earthworks and the removal of headstones in the al-Tuffah neighborhood over several months. An Israeli army spokesperson admitted responsibility, claiming that "operational measures were taken in the area to neutralise identified threats" in an active combat zone. The Gaza War Cemetery holds over 3,200 graves, including those of British and Australian soldiers, and has been damaged in previous Israeli military operations.
