Israeli army admits to shooting Palestinian man in occupied West Bank

The Israeli military has admitted that one of its off-duty soldiers shot a Palestinian man in the occupied West Bank town of Duma. The incident occurred while the soldier was accompanying an Israeli civilian during engineering works. The military claimed the soldier fired in response to Palestinians hurling rocks, stating the action was taken to "remove the threat." As a result of the rock-throwing, the soldier and the civilian were reportedly lightly injured and received medical treatment on site.
