Israel vows heavier strikes on Houthis for defending Gaza

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has threatened Yemen’s Houthi movement with further escalation for its attacks against Israel. Netanyahu declared the Houthis will "pay a heavy price," while Defence Minister Israel Katz vowed to double Israeli strikes for every missile fired and tighten the air and sea blockade. These threats come in response to the Houthis' repeated drone and missile attacks on Israel and Red Sea shipping. The Houthi movement has stated its actions are in support of Palestinians and aimed at stopping Israel's military campaign in Gaza.
