Israel rejects Gaza governing committee logo over similarity to PA emblem

Israel has rejected the new logo adopted by the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza (NCAG), a technocratic body established to oversee the territory's affairs, due to its similarity to the Palestinian Authority's emblem. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office stated that the PA will not be a partner in Gaza's administration. The NCAG is a 15-member body of Palestinian technocrats, led by a former PA deputy minister and overseen by a former UN coordinator, designed to replace Hamas. Hamas has reportedly completed preparations to hand over authority to the new committee, which is expected to enter Gaza in the coming days.
