Israel is paying hundreds of thousands of dollars to American social media influencers in an effort to improve its public image, which has diminished due to the war in Gaza. According to Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) records, the Israeli government has allocated $900,000 for a campaign managed by Bridges Partners LLC to recruit influencers. These individuals are contracted to post pro-Israel content on platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and X, potentially earning up to $6,000 per post. This initiative, dubbed the 'Esther Project', is part of a broader public relations strategy to counter declining support for Israel in the United States.
