Israel kills 22 in Gaza, including 13 shot dead waiting to collect food aid

Israeli attacks on Saturday killed at least 22 people in Gaza, according to the territory's civil defence agency. A civil defence spokesman described rapidly deteriorating conditions in the Zeitun neighborhood of Gaza City, with an estimated 50,000 residents lacking food, water, and other basic necessities. The spokesman accused Israel of carrying out ethnic cleansing in the area, following the Israeli security cabinet's approval of plans to seize control of Gaza City.
