Israel holds first morning prayer at West Bank's Joseph’s Tomb in 25 years

Israeli forces established a large military cordon in the occupied West Bank city of Nablus to secure Joseph's Tomb for Jewish morning prayers, the first to be held there in 25 years. The event involved Israeli parliament members, far-right officials, and settlers under heavy armed protection. To secure the site, the military forcibly expelled journalists, medical teams, and families from nearby homes, turning some residences into military barracks. This action follows a recent agreement to allow daylight prayers at the tomb, which had been restricted to night visits since the Second Intifada in 2000.
