Israel continues to violate Gaza truce deal with shelling and aid restriction

Israeli shelling has targeted civilian areas across the Gaza Strip, wounding at least ten Palestinians in violation of a US-brokered ceasefire deal. The attacks occurred in the al-Bureij refugee camp and the Shujaiya neighbourhood, despite the truce stipulating an immediate end to all military operations. In addition to the military actions, Israel's restrictions on food aid and other essentials have caused widespread famine and a dire humanitarian situation. Authorities also warn of remaining dangers from unexploded ordnance and booby-trapped homes.
