Israel carpet bombs Gaza City as army approves occupation plan

The Israeli army has approved a plan to occupy Gaza City, which will require the mobilization of up to 100,000 reservists. The operation reportedly aims to ethnically cleanse the city of its Palestinian residents, beginning with a siege and followed by a ground operation. Israeli officials are allegedly using the term "takeover" instead of "occupy" to sidestep legal obligations under international law. Concurrent with this planning, Israeli forces have killed dozens and demolished over 300 homes in Gaza's Zeitoun neighbourhood in just three days.
