Indonesia’s president to attend ‘Board of Peace’ meeting in US

Indonesia's President Prabowo Subianto will attend the inaugural “Board of Peace” meeting in the United States, an initiative by US President Donald Trump. The announcement coincides with Jakarta's preparations to deploy up to 8,000 troops for humanitarian peacekeeping duties in Gaza. President Prabowo plans to use the forum to advocate for a two-state solution for Palestine. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has also joined the board, which was established to address the aftermath of the conflict in Gaza where Israeli forces killed over 72,000 Palestinians.
