‘I’m not shocked’: Palestinian activist’s home targeted in foiled firebombing plot

A New Jersey man was arrested and faces federal charges for an alleged plot to firebomb the home of prominent Palestinian-American activist Nerdeen Kiswani. The FBI informed Kiswani, founder of the advocacy group Within Our Lifetime, that the threat to her life had been foiled and the suspect was in custody. The suspect, identified as Alexander Heifler, is reportedly a member of an offshoot of the Jewish Defense League (JDL), which the FBI considers a violent extremist group. The plot was uncovered after an undercover law enforcement officer joined a video call where the suspect discussed making homemade weapons like Molotov cocktails for the attack.
