ICC has taken 'confidential' measures to protect court from US sanctions, officials say

The International Criminal Court (ICC) is implementing confidential countermeasures to protect itself from US sanctions. These sanctions were imposed in response to the court's investigation into alleged war crimes by Israeli officials in Gaza and the occupied Palestinian territories. ICC President Tomoko Akane confirmed that the sanctions have disrupted the lives of nine officials, including judges and prosecutors, and that Russia has also issued arrest warrants for court officials over the Ukraine investigation. The court's officials stated they will survive these measures, which were discussed during the annual meeting of the Assembly of States Parties in The Hague.
