A Palestine Action-affiliated prisoner, Qesser Zuhrah, was reportedly left on her cell floor for hours while experiencing severe chest pains during a hunger strike. Held at HMP Bronzefield in the UK, Zuhrah has not eaten for over 40 days as part of a protest against the treatment of imprisoned activists and the proscription of the direct-action group. Despite her worsening condition and repeated requests for an ambulance, prison staff allegedly delayed medical attention. The protest is part of a larger rolling hunger strike by Palestine Action prisoners awaiting trial, considered the biggest of its kind in the UK since the 1981 Irish Republican hunger strike.
