House of Representatives approves $3.3bn in military aid to Israel

The US House of Representatives has approved a bill that includes $3.3 billion in military aid for Israel. This funding, provided as foreign military financing (FMF), was passed amid regional tensions following a conflict where Israel attacked Iran and the US bombed Iranian nuclear facilities. The total US defense subsidy to Israel since October 2023 is noted to be substantially higher, totaling nearly $34 billion. The legislation also includes a prohibition on US funds for the International Criminal Court, the International Court of Justice, and the UN agency for Palestinian refugees.
