Harvard wins lawsuit against Trump, restoring nearly $3bn in funding

A federal judge ruled in favor of Harvard University, restoring nearly $3 billion in federal funding that the Trump administration had suspended. The administration had accused the university of violating the civil rights of Jewish and Israeli students, citing pro-Palestine encampments on campus. In an 84-page ruling, the judge described the government's antisemitism justification as a "smokescreen" for an ideologically-motivated assault on universities.
