Hamas proposes long-term ceasefire if Israel fully withdraws from Gaza

Hamas has proposed a long-term ceasefire of up to ten years on the condition that Israeli forces fully withdraw from the Gaza Strip. The offer, presented to Egyptian, Qatari, and Turkish mediators, includes a promise to freeze all offensive operations from Gaza and bury its weapons. Mediating states would act as guarantors to ensure compliance with the truce, known as a hudna. This proposal is specific to Gaza and does not cover Hamas's military or political activities in the occupied West Bank.
