Hague Group to ‘make first appearance’ at UN General Assembly

South African President Cyril Ramaphosa announced that "The Hague Group" will make its first appearance at the UN General Assembly. Co-chaired by South Africa, the group is a bloc of states committed to coordinated legal and diplomatic measures in defense of international law and solidarity with the people of Palestine. The group's goal is to protect civilians in Gaza and uphold international law as a universally binding instrument. Ramaphosa stated the group's aspiration is to ensure the UN is central to promoting these legal standards.
