Government contractor denied Palestine Action defendants food during trial, families say

A private government contractor, Serco, allegedly denied adequate food to six Palestine Action defendants during a months-long trial in the UK, according to their families. The defendants, who were on trial for aggravated burglary related to their activism, were ultimately acquitted. Family members reported that the defendants were losing weight and that the food provided was of such poor quality it was inedible. In response, Serco stated that their staff treat all defendants with respect and work to ensure they are well cared for.
