Former Israeli military chiefs call for immediate end to Gaza war

Eleven former senior Israeli military and security officials have called for an immediate end to the war on Gaza. In a joint video statement, they warned that Israel is facing “the dawn of defeat” and that the conflict has turned from legitimate self-defence into a strategic deadlock. The officials added that the army is “stuck” in Gaza and that there has been no progress in negotiations to secure the release of captives held in the territory.
