Former Israeli army chief confirms Gaza casualties over 200,000

Former Israeli army commander Herzi Halevi has confirmed that more than 200,000 Palestinians have been killed or injured during the war in Gaza. This casualty estimate is reportedly close to the figures provided by Gaza’s health ministry. Halevi described the conflict as not being a "gentle war" and stated that military operations have not once been inhibited by legal advice since October 2023.
