This advice came only days before Cameron reportedly threatened Khan over the phone, stating Britain would withdraw funding from the ICC if it pursued arrest warrants for Israeli leaders. Emails obtained through a Freedom of Information request show the prosecutor's office was keen to confirm the meeting. The legal adviser argued that the meeting would be advantageous and timely for maintaining a good relationship with the ICC.
