For sixth time, US vetoes United Nations Gaza ceasefire resolution

The United States has vetoed a United Nations Security Council resolution demanding an immediate, unconditional, and permanent ceasefire in Gaza. The resolution also called for Israel to lift all restrictions on aid delivery into the enclave. It received 14 votes in favor from all other permanent and rotating members, including the UK, France, Russia, and China, making the US the sole veto.
