Film about Hind Rajab leaves audience in tears at Venice Film Festival

A film about Hind Rajab, a five-year-old Palestinian girl killed by the Israeli military, received a 23-minute standing ovation at the Venice Film Festival. The film tells the story of how Rajab and her family were fleeing Gaza City in January 2024 when their car was shelled by Israeli tanks. After her family members were killed, Rajab called the Palestine Red Crescent Society for help. However, both she and the paramedics who came to rescue her were also killed by Israeli forces.
