Fighting for Relevance Isn’t Everything

Russian forces are altering their use of Shahed drones, shifting attacks closer to the frontline due to difficulties with long-range control and stronger Ukrainian air defenses in the rear. This new strategy creates a risk of overwhelming frontline defenses with large swarms of drones in concentrated areas.
