Exclusive: UK parliament accused of confiscating pro-Palestine material

British parliamentary authorities are accused of confiscating pro-Palestinian symbols and leaflets from people entering the building. A campaigner for the Liberal Democrat Friends of Palestine had a badge confiscated and was allegedly told by security that a pro-Israel badge would be acceptable because Israel is not controversial. Human rights group Amnesty International UK also reported that its documents about Israel's actions in Gaza were removed by security guards. These incidents have been condemned as discriminatory and a threat to freedom of expression, prompting a formal complaint to parliament's director of security.
