Exclusive: 'Handful' of ICC states aim to sabotage report clearing Karim Khan

A minority of member states at the International Criminal Court (ICC), mainly from the West, are attempting to ignore a judges' report that cleared prosecutor Karim Khan of misconduct allegations. A panel of three senior judges had unanimously found no evidence of misconduct or breach of duty by Khan following a UN investigation. These dissenting states within the Assembly of States Parties (ASP) bureau are reportedly seeking to block the panel's report and re-characterize its findings based on their own assessment. Experts warn that sidelining the judicial report for a political decision risks undermining the court's credibility and politicizing its function.
