Exclusive: Egypt and Turkey boost support for Sudan's army following RSF capture of el-Fasher

The capture of el-Fasher in Darfur by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) has prompted Egypt and Turkey to increase their support for the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF). Fearing the conflict could spill over its borders, Egypt is reinforcing its frontier and working with the SAF to establish a joint command force to deter the RSF. The SAF, which was outgunned by the UAE-backed RSF, is now seeking more advanced weaponry from its regional allies.
