Erdogan tells Doha summit that region must become self-sufficient

Speaking at a joint Arab-Islamic summit in Doha, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan called for regional self-sufficiency and economic cooperation. He urged the exertion of economic pressure on Israel, stating that displacement and genocide of the Palestinian people are unacceptable. Erdogan described Israeli aggression as a direct threat to the region and characterized Israeli officials with a "greedy, bloodthirsty mentality." He also requested that any decisions made during the summit be formally communicated to the global community in writing.
