Campaigners challenging Palestine Action ban face 42 terrorism charges

Six campaigners in the United Kingdom have been charged with terrorism offenses for allegedly supporting the proscribed direct-action group, Palestine Action. The individuals, who are key spokespeople for the group Defend Our Juries (DOJ), were arrested in dawn raids before a scheduled event to challenge the government's ban. An investigation led by the Counter Terrorism Command resulted in the charges, which relate to coordinating protests and online meetings. Despite a request from the prosecution to hold them on remand, a judge granted the defendants bail.
