British Palestine campaigners request war crimes investigation into Israeli president

British Palestine campaigners have requested that UK police investigate Israeli President Isaac Herzog for war crimes during his upcoming visit. The International Centre of Justice for Palestinians (ICJP) contacted the Metropolitan Police's Counter Terrorism Command, asserting that Herzog could bear criminal liability for actions in Gaza. The allegations include war crimes, crimes against humanity, torture, and actions constituting plausible genocide. ICJP argues that diplomatic immunity would not preclude the police from interviewing Herzog in accordance with international and domestic law.
