Arrests made at demonstration against Palestine Action proscription in London

Police in London arrested protesters at a demonstration against the UK government's decision to proscribe the group Palestine Action as a terrorist organization. Hundreds gathered in Parliament Square to oppose the ban and also to protest Israel's actions in Gaza. The Metropolitan Police stated that arrests were made for expressing support for a proscribed terror organization. The protest was organized by the group Defend Our Juries, which had encouraged attendees to risk arrest under the Terrorism Act.
