Anti-Muslim posts on X targeting New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani skyrocketed by more than 450 percent in just one month. A report from the Center for the Study of Organized Hate found this content had a reach of 1.5 billion, originating from nearly 18,000 unique accounts. The most dominant tactic was "terrorist labeling," which accounted for 72 percent of posts and aimed to conflate his Muslim identity with extremism. Other common attacks questioned his loyalty, called for his deportation, and spread conspiracies about a "Muslim takeover."
