The dire conditions are a result of constant Israeli bombardment, famine, a lack of humanitarian aid, and a collapsing health sector. The spokesperson stressed that a ceasefire is the only way to end the killing and maiming of children. Unicef estimates that nearly one million children in the besieged enclave require psychosocial support due to experiencing unspeakable levels of fear and suffering.
